Walk around the wetland
I thought some assorted wetland photos would be nice to use for my DSLR course homework (this week aperture & shutter speed). Spotted ducks, red-beaked swamp hens, masked lapwings, herons and willy wagtails. Heard lots of frogs.
Back to the 50s
Camperdown Cruise. Saw Elvis. Lots.
TARDIS rear lightbox
Attached the final (rear) lightbox. I discovered a mysterious crack in the phone panel. Amy Pond? An accident? Or just some wanton vandalism by unknown assailant…
Moon & Jupiter
I’m finally using the Meade LS 8 with a bit of confidence and having a play with the camera t-adaptor. Yes, I was expecting home made pics to rival the Hubble, and no I didn’t achieve that (yet) but not a bad first effort before the clouds came rolling in.
Timber show
The pelting rain didn’t help my mood at the Timber & Working with wood show, especially as we were made to park at the diametrically opposite end of the Showgrounds to where the exhibition was. Walking dripping around the exhibits for the first half hour was not fun. Still, this Gabbet’s CU300 all in one panel saw, spindle moulder, jointer, thicknesser took my fancy.
TARDIS roof first level
Added left and right hand “first steps” of the roof.
Spitfires on the move
As the 13 year old who stayed with us recently (yes, you, Thea) might be moved to say: “Ewww…”
So much for a quiet Sunday
The morning calm was interrupted by the incursion of cattle into the wetland. Upon closer inspection, an old cypress which has been progressively dropping limbs had taken out a section of fence (thus allowing opportunistic bovine to access yummy greens).
TARDIS rhs lightbox
The slowly forming TARDIS continues… Added the right hand side light box. Matters of contemplation now include: cutting several (lightbox sixzed) hole in the frame for access and placement of graphics & lights, addition of rear lightbox, strengthening base, doorstop design (Doctors 3 & 4 had small wedge stoppers above the doors), and stepped & sloping roof.
