A component of my course this year is to create something with curved surfaces using solid timber. To that end, my cabinet doors will be of curved design. I have created a multi-sheet MDF panel with blackwood veneers.

I had some leftover lengths of blackwood which I’ve cut down to 3mm sheets using a combination of bandsaw, thicknesser with sled and drum sander with sled. A lot of work and a lot of wastage.

I might consider how to accomplish this more efficiently.
